if you REALLY want some low end back, get the throttle body :] won't void warranty, and you won't have to sacrifice any mods, but please shift higher eh? whats the point of having this car if you don't, i'm not saying kill yourself, but hey, live a little

Get the ECU, I got more than enough low end back plus the gas mileage increase is good, espeically shifting around 3000!

I read this thread last night, so I tried shifting at 3K on the way to work today...made it about 2 blocks...though this sucks...took it up to 4 or 5 (thinking yea this feels better)...

put you mods back on the car...and just shift at a higher RPM

In general terms, anything added to your hood before the pistons, such as an intake will always increase your low end torque while anything after will increase high end horsepower, sacraficing your torque because of the loss of backpressure. I dont understand why you're spending money on your car if you aren't gunna take it above 3000. If you're going for sound and looks, get a muffler and leave the intake and leave it alone.

thanks to everyone who posted i apprecaite it
lancer driven: i do take it above 3k just not all the time. im most likely gonna throw the stuff back on but just get some more lowend torque such as an ecu or something like that. i just didnt know exactly what to get. and the reason i took all the stuff off is because my car has a warranty issue right now and the dealership said anything that give the car more go will void the engine warranty. so thats why i took it all off and before i go putting it all back on i was gonna see what i should keep off so i can have some low end

If you want some low-end, buy a small turbo(fast spooling) but for those of you that don't know, lugging a motor is worse than hitting high RPM's. To make it last long just let the car warm up a minute before driving and change the oil on time.
