Question RRM test pipe question

OK, first off, I did a search and didn't find the exact answer I was looking for, so I'm just going to try this. So you can all save yelling at me.
Of those who bought the test pipe, how many people use it for daily driving and how many use it for off-road only? And of those who leave it on 24-7, can a lancer pass E-check (or whatever other states have) with it?

First off, I actually have it on 24/7......second, if you are live in a place that tests emissions...you will not pass!

If you only get the OBX emission test it should pass. It doesn't turn CEL on.

I TOO HAVE THE TEST PIPE. THE ABOVE IS CORRECT ABOUT PASSING THE EMISSIONS AND I TOO HAVE MINE ON DAILY. IT WILL THROW A CEL. IT DEFINETLY INCREASES FLOW AND LESS BACK PRESSURE. WHICH IS OBVIOUS. MY EXHAUST IS 2 1/4" AND THE SOUND IS IMPROVED WITH THE TEST PIPE DEPENDING ON CHOICE OF MUFFLER. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. MAINLY BECAUSE THE CEL CAN BE FIXED BY AUTO ZONE!!!!

According to RRM, if the test pipe is installed correctly... it shouldnt throw any CEL.

Joseph... we would all appreciate it if you wouldnt post in all caps anymore. Secondly, read RRM's product description for the test pipe:

Road Race High Flow Cat (aka Testpipe)

Lancers have two catalytic converters. They choke the exhaust and thus hamper performance. Road Race high flow cats free the exhaust allowing your engine to perform significantly better. It has O2 sensor threaded hole built in.. These are for racing only. Keep your old cat for on highway use. 2-3% increase in h.p. depend on mods. NOTE: This test pipe WILL NOT make "check engine" light come on.

69.00

So if u got a CEL, you did something wrong.

THERE IS NO DOING ANYTHING WRONG IN TOTAL IT IS FOUR BOLTS. AND 1 O2 SENSOR. MY EXHAUST IS NOT STOCK @ 2 1/4". O AND I AM SORRY ABOUT THE CAPS BUT UNTIL I CAN GO TO THE PX THIS IS ALL I HAVE. I DO APOLOGIZE.

Your registry says you got a custom exhaust...which probably isn't doing much for the rice sound. Go get a name brand like GReddy.

I have mine on for daily driving and I have bolted a heat shield around it...so it appears stock.

I keep the old Cat for E-tests.
