I had to.

But seriously, a flash is superior and would change the timing too, making that combination worthless.

A flash controls every aspect of the engine operation (timing included). So you can't just do both and expect to add the power gains of each mod together. It doesn't work like that.

i wasnt asking about combining the 2 man i was asking if the flash ALONE did what the piggyback+timing module did..cutting out the unnecessary 2 extra boxes and splicing of wires..

I don't have the flash. I thought you wanted to combine them. I have a drop in filter and that's it for power mods(don't think they're worth it on a lancer if you take into account that the benefit is marginal). I also have a works rear sway bar and I'm installing 17x8 wheels and 235 tires in the spring. I'm pretty much focusing on suspension only. Later I think of getting the KYB shock + a good set of springs or the Tein coilovers, I haven't decided yet.

I think it's worth dumping money on the suspension and tires. It makes a world of difference that can be felt right away. The power increase using the available mods(except a turbo kit) doesn't offer the same bang for the buck.

But back to the topic I would pick a flash over piggy+timing control. Alot cleaner, same cost, same or more power.
