These days, with so many powerful tools available like stand alones, and block sleeves, thicker headgaskets, it could probably be done with a lower compression ratio.
I have seen (and built) many different n/a cars that are pushing close to 15-20 psi range (my eclipse is soon to be one of them) As long as you do the proper research and know what your doing, you should be able to peice together a turbo setup on the n/a Lancers. Most the time putting it together yourself can even save a little bit of money.

Just my two cents. lol

I'm very glad you posted this, now a quick question, does the 4b11t bolt into the same mounts as the standard 4b11 in a 2017? I'm considering getting a t out of a totaled evo but idk if it will fit? I'm thinking it should but not sure?

Im going turbo in a week or so on my GTS, and was wondering exactly the differences between the 4b11 and 4b11t. I ask this because eventually, I would like to make the same or more HP as an evo X and do it at about 20 or so psi, but what all is upgraded in the T that isnt in the regular 4b11? I know the pistons and cams are upgraded, but what else? does the 4b11T have an open deck like the regular lancers? etc., etc.

Thanks!!
Did you ever finish this? I am interested to see your results, I am currently doing a 2015 Lancer ES and trying to put a 4B11T in it as well.
