08 Evo/09 Ralliart Gauges on Lancer GTS?

hey for all you guys who are experienced with cars and whatnot. what would it take to swap gauges? would it be something that i would have to order or would i have to find a wrecked evo/Ralliart? i know the mph and rpm are on opposite sides..so i was just wondering what all you would have to have to make it work properly?

Just get the gauges from an 09 GTS, they at least look better than the 08 version. The placement of everything is the same. just a different color.

Why not just buy an Evo?

please dont come into this thread with stupid remarks like that. its so annoying when evo owners come in lancer forums and say that. if i wanted an evo i would have bought one in the first place. frankly i dont wanna spend 30k and 3x my current insurance on a project car

I'm also interested in doing this. I've searched other forums and some have said that it can't be done since the gauges are opposite on Evos, but I'd really like them for their looks and function.

i dont know much about that kind of stuff..i think its possible. but im not sure what parts you would have to buy from an evo/Ralliart to fit in a lancer to make it work properly..most likely i would think you would have to get it from a ralliart since its more similar to the lancer than the evo.

just the gauges. Mph and RPM. not necessarily a entire cluster.

30,000 GSR w/ no options here in Vegas

Current insurance 250. quoted evo insurance 650-700.

30,000 / 72(months) = 417/month not counting APR.
417+650=1067/month
1067 x 72 = 76824 dollars that I do not and will not have within the next 6years

If you can afford an evo and the insurance that comes along with it than that is awesome... But most of us can't. That and I don't speak for everyone but I always thought the whole spirit of tuning is to do things that most people don't do with their cars. Ever since the dawn of cars we have been performing power swaps. I can see where racer is coming from becuz I am somewhat there myself. If I actually end up keeping my car after the lease I am planning on doing a 4b11t swap myself. I like the evo x's but I really like the clean, more subtle styling of the lancer.

Also what fun would an evo be if you couldn't afford to do anything with it?

I'm 20 years old and live in Las Vegas so that is why I pay so much.
I was paying 320/month before I got married. My wife is having a kid in early June which will lower it again. So I am hoping to be paying less than 200 this summer.

Insurance in bigger cities are absolutely horrible for young adult drivers. I have had no at fault accidents or grotesque speeding tickets

Allstate..but im on the insurance with my parents..so my dad has my name under his daily CRV lol and his name under the evo so the insurance is cheaper..if my name were under it, it would probably be around 1100 every 6 months.
