Hard to make a cool sound from a 2.0 liter engine. I think what he is talking about is like if you had a Mustang with dual Flowmasters, and put the car in neutral, and hit the gas to make it rev up and sound like it actually had some power and *****; unlike our Lancers!

well heres a lil story..i used to have a 99 altima auto..i would constantly shift to neutral when driving down hills and shift back to D when i needed to...after i hit a parked car at 5mph...the tranny case all of a sudden cracked..im pretty damn sure that me doing that greatly had an effect on it..but the hittin the car part finally sealed the deal...i wouldnt recommend it at all, ESPECIALLY neutral drops..dont u ever lol

try searching a little harder, i think this has been talked about already.
Short answer, No it will not harm your engine, there are controls in place by the TCU and ECU that control the engagement and disengagement of the drivetrain. There is a very little stress put on the tranny
