Check Engine Light

well my "service engine soon" light popped up when i replaced the cat converter with a testpipe.. is there any way i can get it to turn off without putting it back on?

those of you who have done this... do you just drive around ignoring the light?

If that's my only option, i'd better look for a sticker to cover it with

go buy an spark plug antifouler at your local autostore...then have it drilled to fit your o2 sensor...that should get rid of your problem...it worked on my friend's evos...so it should work for yours...costs less than 5bux...and just ask them to drill one of the two anti foulers...i believe its 1/4 inch...but not so positive...so ask around or search for "anti fouler"...good luck.

Theres a how to on the forum for it. Look for CEL fix. Also just FYI i have the anti fowlers and it doesnt work for me all the time. I can reset the light, but then it'll come back on in about 100 miles or so depending on how i drive. Also look for the Simulator. You just wire it into the 02 sensor and it makes it think its reading the proper readings.

here is the how to link https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...ht=anti+fouler ive never had any problems with mine (installed for 2 years now). just make sure when you drill out the anti fouler keep the drill bit centered and straight up and down (drill press is ideal).

The anti fouler cell fix works. In fact i even have a legitimate wire-in cell fix but still havent used it because the 'ol anti fouler works great.

Works for me , but just the same go to Harbor Freight and get a cheap odbII reader to clear any codes.

The sparkplug antifouler is the easiest way. Some TBE have a built in pipe that is extended just perfect to not trigger unless there is actually something wrong (The Injen one, for example). And I have heard of some people using black electrical tape to cover up the light! Haha.
