hey guys today i got in to my car and the periodic check your engine indicator went on as well with my engine light
so i reset the periodic check your engine indicator but my engine light remain on for a good 30 mins then it disappear
Should i bring it to the dealer?

better check if there r any current codes, pending codes and history before bring it to dealer

i might just leave it and if it comes back on ill bring it to the dealer

 

You can rent one at autozone or advance.

They charge you , but when you return it they refund your money back.

If you do not have any other mods on your car I would bring it to the dealer and have an official record of whats going on. In case it comes up again and your warranty claim goes a little fubar b.

That said before you bring it to the dealer you should use a code reader and discover what the code is and if it is critical or something minor. It will give you a very good place to start.

Keep in mind that even if the check engine light disappears its recorded in memory. You should use a code reader to clear the code once you have the information you need. I have a real time reader (AutoEnginuity) so if you can find a code reader, let me know and I will hook it up and run some tests.
