Is it normal when my car is parked and I have it on ACC mode and I see the battery light and service engine soon light both lit up, but when I start the engine there is nothing. I just bought my car and I don't know if that is a normal thing, anyone? ACC mode is the one before you turn on the engine right? Able to turn on my radio.... I'm a nub! sorry!

 

This is normal, its basically letting you know the telltale lights are still working. If you don't see them then the bulb is burnt out or another issue. You will also notice ABS and other such lights

 

Every car I have driven has always done this in ACC mode. I think it's so you can make sure the bulbs arent burnt out on important warning lights.
