Looking fr more HP
With all of these gutted cats, high flow cats, and straight pipes you guys are looking at like 3-5 hp gains. Losing weight is also a pointless idea unless you are making this a track car in which case, gut the whole car.
So, if I may ask, what is your overall goal of your car?

So far i have just been trying to get as much power from the N/A motor as possible but i'm surprised by the lack of parts for our cars that will add more hp. Seems a turbo is enevitable. This is what i've currently been looking at.
Has anyone had experience with an aftermarket turbo? I'm afraid turbo'n the car is going to be a tuning nightmare and nothing but problems. I've had friends put on aftermarket turbos on other cars and they just never seemed to run right. Anyone have any suggestions as to what kits to use. Who should be installing it. What to do with the ecu? I have a world of questions when the turbo is involved. As for now with what i have done so far the car is running strong and feels great. I'd love to dyno it but the places avail around me are rather expensive.
F that mayne..the axleback weighs so much, works ftw i saved 21 lbs..n from a vid isaw a while back u can cut off jus 1 and itll be fine sound wise...nothing TOO outrageous..when u started tlakin headers plus high flow cat plus zero resonators plus works exhale...now u talking loud lol

RIGHT now RRM offers a turbo kit for the STANDARD ONLY (costs around $4500). but i called another company (not saying which) last week and they said: We have a turbo setup for the automatic already made but wasn't offering it till someone LOCAL came and gave up there car to them for a week for test fiting and tuning. as soon as that happens it will be offered for sale. sorry but im not saying who becuz i might take a "vacation" and go drop off my car. to be THE FIRST AUTOMATIC 09 LANCER TURBO from this company (maybe anywhere) would be worth it.

Appreciate the info. $4500 is a little steep right now though. Seen a few other large companies with kits out for the m/t. I'm going to prob hold off for a little while until i see a few more successful installs. My car is a everday driver so i need the install to be reliable. Anyone seen/heard of any glitches with the m/t turbo install?
Does anyone know if they make a larger throttle body for our cars? Anyone seen one? Also does upgrading the wires pay off? Seen a few different options as far as plugs and wires go. Getting an optimum battery this weekend as well. Still shopping for rims. I'll admit i'm clueless when it comes to the differences in weight and durability.
Tinting my tail lights as well this weekend, using spray tint. Really suprised with the outcome after tinting my friends gti tails and i'm going to tackle the task as well. Tried using film but the nice 45 degree angle on the corner of our lights is no good.
