Bought an '08 Lancer ES..but what Next?..Help

Whats Up Everyone,
I recently bought a '08 Lancer ES about 3months ago..Everything is pretty much stock on it..Though i wanna make it faster, the stock hp is @ 152hp.. i was just wondering where to start and what products to invest in...

P.S. quick question..whats the deal with those chips that save gas and add horsepower..and they like only cost 10 dollars..do the cars already come w/ chips in them..or what?

Ok - call RRE - they seem to be the only shop working on the 08 model right now.

2nd - that ebay crap is worthless.

BTW Brothers Whip (08 GTS) -- Grandmother has an ES (no joke - we have 4 mitsu's in the family):

From my searching RRE has the most R/D into the 08 as of now.

To get to 200, you're probably going to have to wait for the turbo kits to start coming out. Most of the products out now give small gains in hp and torque, but mostly in the mid to high end range.

its a good idea to start reading as much as u can about the 08 model so u know what each mod will do to your car because just asking ppl what to do isn't gonna be the way to go.

I don't think it's fair to say he doesn't truly appreciate cars. You really don't know anything about this guy, and chances are this is just his first opportunity to start getting into this stuff. He could be some 16 year-old kid that doesn't know anything about cars. That being said, however, you are 100% right about needing to learn about everything. My man (original poster), don't just think you can throw a bunch of money under the hood and turn out a rocket. You should really do some research about what you put into it. Some parts work best in conjunction with others, some parts negate the utility of others. To get the best combination of parts, there's a lot to look at and consider. Also, there are a ton of products out there that make a lot of promises and are really just crap (like this chip you were asking about). Bottom line is don't be dumb and naive. Look into this stuff so you can find quality products that'll give you the quality ride you're looking for. Believe me, it'll be more fun when you do it that way anyway.
