Whats Up Everyone,
I recently bought a '08 Lancer ES about 3months ago..Everything is pretty much stock on it..Though i wanna make it faster, the stock hp is @ 152hp.. i was just wondering where to start and what products to invest in...

P.S. quick question..whats the deal with those chips that save gas and add horsepower..and they like only cost 10 dollars..do the cars already come w/ chips in them..or what?

In simple terms, the best way to get power is to make your engine breathe more efficiently, meaning a new intake & exhaust (reasonably cheap), or it could also mean forced induction via turbo/super charger (not so cheap). But, if you're looking to make a 650 bhp dragster or a rally car that takes 12 foot jumps, you're going to be very disappointed. Before buying anything you need to set reasonable expectations and go from there.

Those "chips" are for people who don't know any better. They're not chips at all, actually...with a dime and a trip to Radio Shack you can get the same thing. Install one of those and you risk detonating your engine. Horsepower is an expensive commodity... it doesn't come from $10.00 chips.
