Aftermarket E-brake handle

Has anybody changed their ebrake handle for an aftermarket one? I want to purchase the momo pitstop ebrake handle and boot but have no idea how it would replace the stock one? Any help would be appreciated thanks

I think in just slips off...cuz I believe while sitting in the car one day, I found myself just grasping the handle and pulling at it. It managed to slip up a bit, and I pushed in back down.

2008 ebrake handle is a different design, AFAIK. And I don't have the guts to yank on mine.
