Need Help Pleese!!!
I own a 2002 Lancer ES Automatic and I have some cash that I need to kill real quick.....I need to know is it necessary to get an intake (RRM Short Ram) before I get an exhaust? I think I am planning on gettin the Magnaflow from RRM, or the RMR, but I need this question to be answered first. THX!
dont be selfish, other people want money also, but if youd rather spend it on yourself then i would recommend body or interior pieces, the lancer is slow and unless you put a few bills into it it aint going nowhere. theyre starting to come out with nice body kits, but get urethane cause fiberglass cracks way too easy. i dunno just go with the flow and dont be eager to throw money at people or you wont get the best deals and be low on cash in no time.
lol i have done enough to my car already and thats why i am focusing on the engine now, i have 10 infinity speakers in my car 2 tweeters in my cubby hole which bugs a lot of people out and sounds great, i have 17" gunmetal rims on the way, blacked out tails, evo VII wing and grill, CF reflectors, and am considering either kenstyle or zenon kit, but i have some cash to kill for now and in addition to tints i wanted to get an exhaust to replace my ricey *** tip.....i was considering either a gunmetal or CF muffler, but would much rather get an exhaust......i was just wondering if the RRM magnaflow was anygood. I don't exactly want a deep throaty sound, just something a little deeper and better than our stock and thats why i was considering the RRM and a silenced muffler, but any suggestions would be great. What i am trying to avoid is one of those exhausts people hear from a block away and you don't know whether its a 1980 corolla or a decent car....thanks.
P.S. i also have rims and neons for sale in another thread if anyone is interested lol.....
More Money = More MODS!!!

go for the intake first and then the exhaust.. unless of course you have money to buy both of them at the same time. appreciate the sound of the intake alone before putting your exhaust on bcoz its just too beautiful to pass up
.. but if you're one of the people who are complaining about the slow speed of the lancer, get the intake first. it'll make your car more 'torquey' and will notice a difference in the low end. if you get the exhaust first, you will lose some back pressure and therefore lose low end power. its up to you.. but if you do decide to get an exhaust, get the greddy.

Thx a lot, many people have told me intake first, then exhaust, and i am starting to agree now. I will get the Short ram from RRm first, and then possibly have a custom exhaust done by a local shop. My friend just told me they did one for him at 250, which isnt that bad.....
