I know the engine and the transmission are on the wrong sides but does anyone know if this could be put into a 02 OZ my motor just got hydrolocked and my trans well it's seen better day's also. Does anyone know the wheel base to these yeat Libero. Could i just use there motor axles and ece since it's all there? I tried looking it up but to no luck there.

 

No. This motor will not work. You should be able to find a 4G94 for under $400 on ebay. Last week I looked and there were 2 or 3 up for sale. As for the transmission, you can go with a 4G15, 4G92, 4G93, 4G94 or 4G69 transmission and use the stock bellhousing to attach it. I believe all of those are F5M42 transmissions.

 

I would say yes it can be done. But without lots of headache and fabbing.
I've seen a guy put an 2g eclipse motor in his mirage making 400+whp
