K&N filter fit for a RRM SRI V2?

Anyone know what model of K&N filter will fit the RRM SRI V2 intake kit?

My RRM is falling apart, the chrome ring came off already and it looks like ***.

I can get a K&N local instead of having to wait for RRM to ship one, hence why I ask the question.

What I did with my V1 intake was get a K&N cone filter from Advance Auto Parts. I measured the diameter of the intake piping, and then just got a cone filter that had the same diameter or slightly bigger. THen use the coupler to attach it to the RRM SRI tube. Good luck!

One of the chrome ring things fell off of mine too last year. I got the good old 3B weld, and stuck it back on. Havn't had a problem with it since

K&N all the way

I'm kind of a newb to the forum thing and to the owning a lancer thing, but i just put a K&N typhoon air filter on my 09 gts and LOVE IT. It gives the car the growl and the initial go that i needed. I recommend just slapping that thing on there and being done with the fix it solutions.

That is the expensive fix, but for those on a budget you can get the cone K&N filter for about $50 instead of $300 and get essentially the same results!

What model of K&N filter did you get?

The V1 pipe and the V2 are identical, are they not?

Honestly I do not remember; all I did was get a 2.5 or 3 inch diameter cone filter. I cut the RRM filter off but left the rubber end that slides over the SRI tube. I then simply slid the K&N cone filter over that rubber piece still attached to the pipe, and used the original clamp from RRM to tighten it down nice and snug. The diameter on the K&N was just a tad too big, so using this method worked perfectly to prevent any seal or vacuum leaks. PM me if you need more details.

Sorry, I'm in a GTS, wish I could help, but I don't know about the ES. Make sure everything is sealed correctly, no bolts are loose and unhook your battery for a reset. That's the best I can figure

I use the AEM 2.5" filter on my RRM V1. The K&N RU-4950 will work as well. Amsoil also has some dry universal cone filters made to replace the K&N filters that don't need to be oiled. I chose the AEM dry filter for that reason. Filters just as good as the K&N, but can be washed and re-used without oiling. No CEL for me either, but i'm in a GTS. Not sure if that matters.

the k&n threw a CEL for me twice.... I think the 2.0L cannot "handle" the extra amount of air than the 2.4! but that's weird because the 2008 gts is only 2.0.... I made sure everything is tight fit.... I am thinking bout goin with the injen 2.0 cai but iunno if it's worth it on an automatic...
