lol, I did it every way including that, its a GTS, so there's no L or whatever. It's an 08 so no 2.4+ PZEV+ CVT = slowest lancer ever (Read my info). It was also a really hot day, so I'd say it would probably have done 17.4-5 if it were cooler, but it's still slow as hell regardless.
Saying I suck at driving an automatic is like saying I suck at going up an escalator (I like that analogy because the CVT is like an escalator)
Oh and the car doesn't even rev to 6300 rpm, ever since modern automotive technology started coming around, there's this neat thing called a rev limiter.

Yeah I guess so, even though I have paddle shifters, the Rockford system with a satellite radio, a sunroof, nicer wheels, MUCH better suspension, and the spoiler. . An eye of the beholder thing I guess?

I didn't go to the track expecting it to be fast, was just one time for a little fun, I normally go to the track with a 69' formula that runs 11's, so its not a big deal to me. I like my car a lot, but I don't treat it like its anything spectacular at a track.

Staying on topic; the 4b11 platform does run 1/4 miles rather well for what it is. I've seen others as low as 15.5 with minimal mods done(intake, exhaust), however those were 5spds with decent drivers. There aren't a whole lot of cars in the same price range/engine size that can do that. The car makes excellent use of the power that is it has.

^ but looks like garbage. you can get a decent early 90's honda drop less than 5k on it and it will be faster than both cars but in the end it looks like a horses rear end. lets keep on topic here and talk about the 09 GTS and not any other cars.

yeah your car is sooo much better i have the good radio with 6 disk changer i have the banging hubcaps i dont care to pay for satilight and i have the stupid f@#$ing spoiler and im sure that id have knocked off a few 10ths in the 1/4 without it. and i dont care for a sun roof. they are fun but not me.

now back on topic
my car with me in it weighs 3209
i ran
60ft 2.66
330ft 7.25
1/8ET 10.9
1/8MPH 67.9
1/4ET 16.6
1/4MPH 85.08

im sure that if mitsubishi shaved some weight off the lancer we would be way better in the 1/4 mile

the honda Civic Si is 2895 stock with a 220lbs driver they still beat our lancer with a 2999 lbs curb with a 220
the thing is even if we get our car to run a 15.5 with minimum mods we still wont outrun a 14.9 Si anything soon.

Well I think I should clarify a couple things.

ShadowES - I wasn't trying to say my car was better, I'm just saying I cared more about the options than raw performance in choosing the car. Since it's (lets be honest) pretty much an everyday econobox family sedan, with a sporty look. Hence the "Eye of the beholder" comment I made, but if you still feel insulted, then just PM me, lets not throw the tread off topic.

I said "4b11 platform" which means, in the 08 model GTS Lancers have the same motor as the ES/DE. Which are certainly MUCH cheaper than a cobalt SS or a Civic Si.
When talking about the 09 GTS, it has the 4b12 which was bumped to 2.4l, however if I remember correctly, the base price for these is still around ~19k?. Where as a cobalt SS turbo starts at ~24k, and the SI which also start at ~22k. A 3-5k Price difference, doesn't put these cars in the same class or price range. This is why when you look at those comparison articles/videos of "sporty" cars in the < 30k price range, you always the see the Ralliart/Cobalt/SI/WRX/MS3/GTI being compared, not lancer GTS's.

well the sticker price on my 09gts was 24k which is the same as a cobalt ss turbo and excuse me but the cobalts may not look amazing to you at least(not you the other guy that made a comment about that) cause i had one and it was gr8 but they can beat a stock evox from a 40 roll and on the drag strip the times are almost identical the only advantage the evo has is off the line cause its awd but enough with this this thread has gone way off topic

our cars was built to do turns not run in a stright line, anyways. if you wanna go for price and performance get a mustang GT for 25K and run a 13.6 stock. last time i checked its better then a 14.9 Si and a 15.7 09 GTS.

also i know i posted improperly on here with my 2.0 but it did say what does the 09 GTS run.
