RRM timing control box

Anyone has any good feedback to share about this? Im planning on ordering one but I wanted to make sure power gains is good as well as the install. Is this something I can install myself? Thanks.

IT DOES work, makes percision shifts in timing vs. OEM. It will be required for you to running higher octane fuel. I got to take the car around a few times with a friends car. Almost felt like if you were quick enough, you had to restrain the throttle with the mighty brake when you come off the gas

Not everyone thinks its a justifiable gain, but I think tis worth a try. If you buy it, and dont like it, I think you can find someone to sell it to at your cost or slightly less.

Nice. How was the installation of the timing box? Does it take long and complicated? Any special tools I need?

no problem! i used it when i installed mine. i also installed mine with my injen CAI and exhaust and crank pully. i have the piggyback but have yet to put it on. i am worried about warranty issues. i could tell a nice difference but really the biggest change is past 3500 RPM. also with the timing control box they say to use 91+ octane. i fill up with 93 premium and have not had any issues with it.

I love the timing control module now. Easiest mod in the world to install. Only bad thing is the higher octane fuel, but it is worth it for a few extra cents per gallon.

The timing control box works fine for CVT. I drive a 2010 Lancer GTS Sportback and have had no issues for the last 9000km I have had it. Though you will have to run higher octane and also your fuel economy will suffer a bit. This worse fuel economy has nothing to do with a heavier pedal foot
