Lancer Camshaft
RPW is starting on our camshaft packages now for the 4B11 and 4B12 engines as we found with our full exhaust, extractors 4-1 RD Series, cold air intake and tuning that we could not coax anymore horsepower out of the vehicle. Some of the numbers I see being qouted around at this moment makes me laugh.
These vehicles are very efficient from the factory and with good mods on stock camshafts, don't expect to see gains any more than a total of around 15hp. Playing with the mivec timing definition ikmproves the flat spot at the 2500 - 3000 rpm range.
We are hoping to start doing some testing on camshafts in the next few months we are just waiting for the first batch of billet cams to arrive.

15 - 20hp from mods in total only excluding camshaft. That has been our experience to date with the 4B11 model engines in Australia. The 4B12's we are still in the final stages of tuning with the stock ecu's
But we have found the USA model mivec maps are radically differnt to our australian ones, especially the pzt? ones. We are working with a USA customer now to try out some Australian Mivec Maps on his vehicle and seeing the results. I believe we will see a radical improvement on the car.
