exhaust install
no aswers
i dont think many people have bought the rmr exhaust, those that did get i, i belive got the dealer to install, it, but rrm exhaust a bunch of people have installed that themselves, so thats what i think not a lot of people have responded.
First off I don't have an RMR exhaust, but this may be somewhat useful anyway...It should be easy to do yourself if you have some jack stands, ramps or whatever else to lift your car.
The exhaust after the cat is only two parts...muffler and piping. I don't know how far back the RMR goes back, but it seems to me like only the muffler section is replaced. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. When you look under there you can pop the muffler off the rubber hangers pretty easily, and the piping and muffler just unbolt. Even if you were doing a cat-back it should be pretty easy. The only thing difficult for me was convincing the 2 semi-rusted (and quickly too) bolts on the cat that they needed to come off. Anyway...Should be simple. Good luck if you think you need it, but I doubt you will.

If it's similar to the flowmaster pre-fabs, I was watching Speed, and they put it up in the air, and it took about 15 minutes for the faux-duals for the V6 Camaro, with the right tools, meaning a wrench, and putting it in the air, and that's alot more different sections of pipe. Should be fairly easy, but, I didn't go that route.

I wasn't bashing you guys for not replying fast. I was thanking yous
in advance. I did purchase the RMR and I installed it yesterday. The quality is great and the ease of installation was all of 20min. The sound is nice and deep. I know that a local shop would have been cheaper but,
most of the shops around here are not fond of imports. thanks

The shop I went to mainly did like the flowmaster junkies and such around here... but, they are good, and they are cheap. I mean, 200 for an installed A'PEXi with mandrel bent piping, not to mention double welds? I think it might have been hot, but, I'm not asking any questions. In any case, don't think that because a shop is biased towards imports doesn't mean that they won't do it. Money talks. Offer cash lower than their original quote, and see if you don't get it done for your price.
mine was cake to put on, the only problem is to keep the flange from leaking you need to use an impact gun. another problem is no matter how you mount it the torque will make it hit your bumper and melt a small indent in it, I know from experience I've moved mine every way possible and it still hits
