The worst is that the 4B12 was only release in North America so there won't be as much aftermarket as the 4B11, but I read somewhere a while back that we apparently have the same engine as the Dodge Caliber SRT-4 Turbo engine. I don't know what's interchangable, but maybe you can look into that route.
im pretty sure almost everything is interchangeable, like pistons, rods, cranks, heads, etc., but you can PM 09_lancer_gts for more details, he said he knows for sure what will work lol

I must've been mistaken. it prolly had a flash along with it. Oh well. Turbo would be ur best bet to power. maybe built a custom one with parts from an X or RA.

Yea, just looked up intel on the comparison between the caliber and GTS and definately come from the same developer of engines, the caliber SRT4 rocks a Mitsubishi turbo (TD04HL4S-20) and DVVT. which from the bat gives it 285 HP close to what the evo puts out, still trying to figure out how it manages to push that as a dodge but a Turbo Charged GTS barely gets to 250.

because the dodge block is probably semi-closed

open deck

semi-closed deck

closed deck

look at the difference in cylinder walls. the semi-closed deck has supports along the outside of the cylinder wall to handle more power, whereas the lancer doesnt (first pic). closed decks are the beasts of blocks, ill let you see why from the pic......

if lancers had the same block as evos, i would probably still be turboed and on even more boost than 10 psi lol

well the closed deck and semi-closed deck blocks can just take more of a beating in general

but it being a closed deck produces more power, which can increase HP.

haha no no.....the fact that its closed deck doesnt produce more power. the fact that its closed deck, means it can TAKE more power that you throw at it.

Ok, I get it. But if a srt4 engine set up has more to offer turbo, shouldn't I be able to ****** me up one of those blocks and swap, or even do a full engine swap?

For that then you might as well go with the 4B11 block from AMS, it'll prolly bolt up easier to you tranny than the SRT-4's block.
