started off with 400 grit but we had to go to bare metal on some areas so any area in gray primer was hit with 320, the dealership i got the car from, lied about it being in an accident, we didnt find out until i pulled out the tail light, they covered it up sayin that the clear coat came off so they had it repainted, took it to a body shop and its about $1600 to fix it without it being painted since i already went and brought the paint

I'm thinking about a paint job on the ol' lemon slice, but I want to get the turbo running nice and pretty before I spend any "show" money. Are you repairing body dents and stuff, or just sanding it to repaint? I have a few hail dmg spots as well as some door dings from parking lots....and they are all really starting to bother me (everytime I see my wife's nice, shiney, new car)

i have no dents or dings so im just sanding to repaint, if ure going with the same color as your car maybe lil brighter like i am then all you have to do is sand the clear coat with 800 grit but with mine it was just clear coat after clear coat so we went to bare metal

And do you do the painting yourself, or do you prep it and take it somewhere? Are you going same color then, since some spots you took just down to clearcoat off?

I looked at it so I can make a list of what I need to fix and buy so that I can stop stressing about it. That's about it for now.
