Question Piston Bore Size? 4G94

ALot of aftermarket parts for Honda/acuras with 81.5mm bore pistons. How important is bore stroke and will higher/lower bore stroke gain/lose HP/TQ or even fit. Would be nice to think outside the box.

The pistons will technically fit in the cylinders. 81.5mm is 81.5mm. But you now need to look at wrist pin size/location, piston height, piston to valve clearance, rod movement clearance if installed on piston, etc. There are alot more factors to consider than bore.

I have use honda B-series pistons in a 4G94 you need to modify the small end and bore it out a few thou. Then you will need to shave the piston skirt so it will not make contact with the crankshaft.

But then you get positive deck height around .5-.8mm cant remember its probably less, need to get a head gasket to suit.
