Vacuum hoses

Hi there,

I recently replaced my 2003 Lancer ES engine with a younger 2006 engine and when I was rebuilding it, I found out that one of the vacuum lines cannot be connected on the 2006 engine; on the old one, this line was connecting under the injector rail on a long metallic tube but this tube cannot be found on the recent engine. The line seems to be coming from the gas tank or the canister. For now, I just capped it but does anybody know where this line should connect? Thanks!

the 04-06 lancer had a returnless fuel system. since yur car is an 03 it had a returned fuel system. just reinstall your im from yur 03 engine and all will be fine.
