Need help for Head Swap
Need help for Head Swap
I'm currently deployed so I don't have a lot of time and access to the internet to do the research myself. Before I left, I picked up a 4G93E head from LLT Racing. I plan on installing it when I get home, so I'm picking up all the parts while I'm overseas. I'm also swapping out the rods and higher compression pistons too. My question is what is everything I need to do the job? (ie - all the gaskets, belts, etc). Also, what do you guys recommend I have done because I plan on keeping this thing NA. Thanks!

You will need a new head gasket, belts, radiator fluid, oil and spark plugs
Thanks for the offer, but I already have the head sitting in my garage and I wanna try and work off that, unless you wanna part out the block lol. But I wanna make sure I'm not missing anything since I'm still overseas and won't be home for a while. I was supposed to have it installed when I got home from initial training, but I deployed a few weeks after. Right now, I'm trying to do research and get the specs for the 4G94 so I can figure out measurements when I get it ported and all that jazz. I'm building my lancer for Road racing and autocross and I'm only looking for only around 200 HP. I have every other bolt on mod possible and this is the first time I'm cracking my motor open. What size pistons in terms of compression do you have in that motor?
I would suggest figuring out how high of CR you will need to go to acheive your goal of 200hp and stay na then buy all the supporting mods needed to handle the added stress. Senate used to be High compression NA he can probably help turn you in the right direction.
Thanks Blaze =) Just aheads up, got the numbers figured and all that Jazz. Now all that's left is to gather the rest of the parts while I'm overseas. Going with a an 11.0 compression ratio/ 20 Over, forged internals, stage 1 cam, and port and polish DOHC head. I have most of these in the garage or on the way, but all that's left is for my happy a$$ to get home. I'll be sure to update when I get back =)
