Exhuast fitment question

ok, so what i wanna know is....
can you bolt up a 02-03 ES catback exhaust to a 04-06 ES?

ive been looking and cant seem to find the answer. and i havent seen a good quality exhuast for my 05. i know rrm has one but on another forum ive heard its quality is poor (bad welds and rusts after awhile)

can anyone enlighten me?

I think the set up is a little different, like the 02-03 has a separate cat converter or something and the cat on the 04-06 is attached to the mid section? I don't remember. I'm sure someone can confirm this.

hm the exhaust I have is the magnaflow.

it says here it fits 02-06 http://www.roadracemotorsports.com/s...cf18ee0f58ebe6

and when I bout it on ebay it said 02-03 but it fit so whatever. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Magna...Q5fAccessories

on a side note it hung kinda low so i got a shorter hanger for the one nearest the rear bumper.

hope this helps :bee r:

Magnaflow makes a catback exhaust for us. Even though it says its for 02-03 models it'll still fit an 05 model, just sticks out a little past the bumper is all.

02-03 Cat is bolted on while 04-06 is welded, so you'll have to get it welded to the cat

Magnaflow as well as all other brands will fit our years of car. The exhaust tip may stick out a bit further than it was designed to, but they will bolt on. I have had the Greedy Evo II and the Magnaflow catback. They were both for 02-03 Lancers and bolted to my 04 with no problem. On a side not I will be selling my Magnaflow catback soon. I am having a whole new system built TRF in Michigan. Let me know if you want to buy the 3 month old Magnaflow system for a great deal.

idk if i like the magnaflow system though, my buddy has one on his civic and its like super super quiet, like no sound comes out of it at all, that being said idk if i would pay $600 for a system like that. im probably gonna go with the SR*S system i found, heard lot of subie guys use it and they r satisfied with the brand
