Not sure if this is the right board but i'm looking at getting a new intake for my 2006 Lancer Special Edition. The problem is I have no idea where to get one i was told to get a Short Ram from Weapon-R but they don't seem to have one for my car. Can anyone give me some insite on what they suggest? This will be my first time changing anything in the car so i need all the advice I Can get.

 

Make one. It will be cheaper. Get the piping from ebay for your lancer and get a K&N Filter and use that filter...

lol, you dont have to literally fabricate one . Just buy a cheap intake off ebay and swap the filter with a good name brand filter (Can buy at autzone)

Theirs a couple threads on the forums similar to your questions.

I bought a cheap one on ebay for 27 bucks. UPS literally just delivered it to my door! The filteres a bit cheap but it came with the mounting brackets and clamps so I cant complain. Ill just buy a spectre filter at autozone for 24.99

 

i bought a spyder cai from ebay for only 26 or 27 bux its well worth it no difference in sound if thats what your looking for and still saves gas and still gaines 5-10 hp for tha sound difference have a nice cat back than your set! i dont know much about cars though just want to make my lancer es 03 look nice

if u have a auto you can still use one thats for a mt, you just cant use the lower part since the atx is bigger
than the mt trans....
i have one from aem, its for a mt car but i only use the upper part cause my auto tranny is to big for the lower portion... carb sticker says you can use it for any type of trans/trim for 02-03 model years.. but i dont see why u cant use it for any 02-06 base model lancer [es/ls/oz] since they all use the same motors. but a smogg tech will rip u one if thy see it on a wrong model year

keep in mind that generic/ebay ones wont pass emmisions and arent carb legal, so if you live in a smogg/emmisions controlled state get one thats 50 state/calif legal...
