I want to mod a 2008 lancer gt jdm model??

Ok i own a 2008 lancer gt model its a jdm version its got the 2.0 engine and has a cvt.
Now my question is if i add a CAI like the injen intake and a full total body exhaust system from RR how much horsepower can i expect from this mods???
please tell me crank horsepower not wheel horsepower.
Also do i need to mod my ecu with this bolt ons or will i be fine??
thanks a lot!!

Save your money and spend it on something else later. A ricey exhaust on a cvt will get really annoying real fast...

I agree with the other guy. Save your money for an Evo. Thats what I am doing. HP gains will be minimal

HP gains will be minimal x2

You're looking at maybe 5-10hp for the CAI, the real gain will be better gas mileage. The stock exhaust is already pretty solid so honestly a full swap would pretty much just be a waste of money. These mods do not require ECU work.

CAI: Crank HP estimates would be 9 peak HP at the crank
Exhaust: Go with Magnaflow Cat back. You will gain 8HP and 12 TQ at the Crank. But you will to add compound gains if you throw an header into to the mix. bug increasing the effectiveness of your CAI and more importantly the Catback exhaust. You will recover more HP with the 4-1 Header on the Top End.

Hope that helps.

If I wanted a faster car, I would not have bought a lancer....the point to most people's modding is to get the most out of what they have. Why even say "don't waste the money and save up for this car..." If i wanted a fast car, I would have gotten something else! The OP wanted to know what he would get if he put on xyz parts.

Sorry, just had to get it out.

to the OP - realistically, you will not see much gains from an NA lancer with bolt-ons. With that said, if you want to upgrade intake and exhaust for sound/appearance factor - then PLEASE do it if you can! Ricer is relative. What might be ricer to person A won't be to person B. Don't listen to the haters.

Peace

Amen. I always get irritated when someone asks for info about how much HP to expect from simple parts for their Lancer, and the first automatic answers/responses are 'just get an Evo', 'it's not worth it'. I don't think anyone askin about an intake and exhaust are expectin to automatically add 100+ hp. Might as well say 'if you want speed, just get a Lambo'. It's just as unhelpful...

Its your car, so mod it out however you want! But again, don't expect much HP or TQ gains from an intake or exhaust, you'll just mostly get sound and appearance.

Ok ama try to help u here lets say u go with aftermarket pieces like rrm for example ( not bashing rrm) u get a short ram intake (sri) $200 shipped and then u get a full exhaust (from $300 custom made to $1000) then u get headers another $400 and the list goes on , what u need to understand is that once u started theres no stopping for real. If i were u i start. Collecting turbo parts is less than $1500 for q full ra turbo kit ull be happier garantied bro .... Remember theres no stoping

You can stop. If you have a goal you can stop. My goal: have a sexy looking lancer. Parts included: intake, exhaust, coilovers, rims.

Done.
