Damn Check Engine Light

This sucks my cehck engine light came on today on the way home on the freeway after i let the ***** warm up and drop to 750 rpm like always. I call up the dealer and then mitus and they are like call us on monday and bring your car in. Im like its friday night and I have to work and drive the damn thing. Ah well **** happens. Its not the tranny problem you boys been having. Damn the 3rd problem i have had with the car.

A cel can be almost anything..but almost always it's the gas cap not being tight enough. Tighten the cap a few clicks, reset the ecu, and if it goes away, you know what the problem was. If it doesn't got to mitsu, make sure you put the stock intake on and the stock exhaust manifold if that was changed. MAF sensors and O2 sensors break easily on modified cars. You can also get away from having the dealer pull the codes by going to autozone and having them pull them for free. Yeah go to autozone first, then you'll know exactly what to do.

Listen to b. Go to Autozone. Last thing you want is your dealer hassling you about warranty issues. The less they know the better.

Thanks B and Hobie guys you are the **** around here. I'm going there tomorrow. I let the engine cool and went and filled the car up all the way and it ran and sounded fine. I went to a car show and finaly met another lancer owner in columbus. We tested our engines and stuff it sounded fine. I was going to dealer but you mentioned this. I have one down the street from me. I'll have them check it.
