What I need to sprint race!!

Ok I have an automatic lancer ls Iv heard autos are much better for sprint races over most manuals with right tuning and what not, and shifting an auto greatly increases your speed again if done right now my question is what mod and engine upgrades will I need to make my dream come true other then turbo (which will be happening in time) what do you recommend? Will camshaft make a Dif trans cooler lighter everything help me out at first I'd like to race it non turboed so anything thatl give me upper hand and, my lancer currently only has basic mods Iv done my self as stated in my signature, don't hate lancers have potential in future I hope to have few more cars but ATM I love my lancer, any help will be appreciated

you can race your car whenever you want, but it's not going to be fast i've seen non-turbo 2.0L lancers get spanked by 1.8L civics...nothing short of a turbo will make any difference, i'd be surprised if what you have done made much of a difference....

if you plan on boosting, why bother spending money on bolt-ons?

that sucks, i just posted in your other thread telling you to boost, but if you can't then the only thing you CAN do is N/A mods...the most common things after bolt on, is port & polish, intake and head, increase flow rate of the engine, camshaft, increase displacement and compression ratio, lighter internals, lighter flywheel...lots of money to be spent there...

thumb up on turbo. But what laws do u guys have in Australia against turbo?? That's so weird id imagine if u get a legit turbo theyd be fine with it.

we have things called provisional licencing which is lyk 3 years 1 on your red "p plates" by law not allowed to exceed 90 k/ph then test time pass that 2 years on green p plates which by law cant exceed 100 k/ph also get **** all points 7 and being on these plates strickly no turbo, super, v8 10 12 high performance 6 cylinders and im pretty sure not even aloud to do engine mods (to bad i want to ) but im thinking from some members from here that gave me some insite to go super charged, works well on autos i think better to, mind you want second car to so yeh iv put a pic of the "p plate" im on
