I would have to agree with the above the plugs and wires only help with making sure your car runs smoother, nothing more. Supposedly on the Denso Iridium IX spark plugs you will get a whole 6 meters ahead of the same car with out the spark plugs when you decide you would go head to head up to 150mph, (that's a very minor difference) -- As the spark plugs wires go, Magnacore seems to be the best so far, as they really did some R & D on the wires, They also coated the outside with a EMP deafening material. Magnacor claims no increase in HP or TQ, BUT (and I really do mean but) it will allow your engine to run Properly. Their logic behind it is, the bigger the gauge, the lest resistance, which also allows a bit more of the electromagnetic pulse which does mess with the computer for your engine. This way with the new wires it allows a much less amount of this current to go through. which in-turn allows it to read sensors better, and more accurate readings, which in turn may (and I do mean may, as it doesn't always) allow your engine to be running closer to it's full potential (more HP and TQ)
To add to the little note I left above (I left some stuff out) The NGK Iridium and the Denso Iridium are close to the same. They both have a smaller Electrode for a tip. somewhere between .4mm and .6 mm. The way it was explained that I understand is that with the smaller tip the spark has less surface area to spread over, thus creating a more concentrated spark. They used the iridum metal as it was the only metal that can still allow as much current running through it with such a small tip. So far I have no complaints except the plugs are 5x more expensive than normal spark plugs, but I have noticed with both spark plugs and wires that the engine was running pretty damn smooth.
I believe Denso has the smaller tip than NGK but I'm sure it won't make a difference between the two. When you take your old spark plugs out compare with the new spark plugs, you'll see a huge difference between the tips.
