4G15 Engine Lifter Noise
Hi Guys,
I have a Mitsubishi Lancer CK2A (CK 2A - 0000653)
hydraulic lifter car (1996 made).Done 170000Km and it has DOHC 4G15 Engine.
It has a noisy lifters when engine is cold and will take about 3/4 minutes to settle it down. Then loud noise go away and I only can hear small ticking noise all the time.
I own this car about a year now and I am doing the regular maintenance and servicing on time. One of my mechanic told me try to use thicker engine oil and that might solve this issue.
In my country we have sun all the over the year.I am currently using Hav*** 10W-40 Oil.He asked me to try 20W-50 instead.
I tried to find owners manual for this car but i couldn't.As this is an old car.
But any of you can advice me on this I would rather appreciate it.
Thanks

Lifter noise stopped
My lifter noise was fixed. I used a product called RESTORE. I for 3 years to fix it. Nothing worked. Finally a friend sold me 2 bottles. Only used 1. As recommended. And it worked in just 5 minutes. Benn using now for 3 months and no problems. Its recommended that you use it each time you change your oil. Hope this works for you.
