08 GTS throttle sticking

New to the forum, but I've been reading for a while trying to find an answer to my problem but have been unsuccessful.

08 GTS manual, no mods with 100K miles. I was noticing when I'd come to a stop the rpms would dip really low when I pushed the clutch in. So I figured with nearly 100K miles I'd clean the throttle body.
I've had really good success on other vehicles cleaning the throttle body, so figured I'd have the same with this car.
I didn't remove the throttle body, simply used a minimal amount of carb and throttle body cleaner and wiped it out good. Let the thing air a for a bit and then did a test run.
I found that after it learned its idle, it would hold its rpms at like 2k-3k sometimes.
I've now put probably 2K miles on it and the problem has not went away like I hoped it would.
Once the car is warm, the rpms will hold at like 2-3K between shifts. It seems to mostly happen from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd. I can pull up to a stop sign and sit there for probably 10 sec. with the clutch in before the rpms will fall to neutral. If I let the clutch out slightly, like I'm trying to stall the car, it'll drag the rpms down and they'll stay down.

I'm at a loss. I've checked the butterfly on the throttle body and it's not hanging up or anything.
Anyone else had this issue or heard of it? I hate this drive by wire crap.

Ive had to so this on my 08 Gts auto and a friends , on the auto going really slow and turning the car would idle very low and stall out . Just got some brake cleaner on a rag , removed the intake , opened the butterfly and cleaned everything that i could and never did it again .

I agree 02-lancer, that's what I did and it seemed to fix my problem of the rpms dipping low, but it has now led to the issue of my throttle sticking.

Hi I'm also new to the forum and I was looking for a little help and advice. I am driving a 2003, MITSUBISHI AIRTREK TURBO R EVOLUTION, and when driving it doesn't pickup the revs as it should then you press the accelerator pedal. Does the throttle body need replacing, sensor problem or throttle body air idle control valve stepper motor!!

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Well I put a small amount of oil where the shaft goes through the housing but it didn't help.

I'm going to pull the battery off for a few hours tonight and let it relearn the idle again. If that doesn't help I'm going to get a different throttle body.
I searched in the for sale section but didn't find much. I know a ton of you guys have swapped to a 4G69 throttle body, so who has a stock one sitting around that they want rid of?
