Post AEM Cold air

I just ordered my AEM Cold air intake from autocarparts.com
with the optional by-pass. I'll be sure to post pics of the install when it arrives... I also broke down and bought the AEM billit dress-up kit... I'm pretty stoaked about it, I hope it rocks...

You'll probally have the same problem some had with the Injen. You might need to get the piping bent to fit into the auto. Why not just check into the Injen short ram for the auto..?

The Injen cold air intake on a Lancer DOES NOT fit the automatic without careful "modification" to the piping: the people that have done either a) banged the hell out of the piping trying to force it to fit and in the process kinked the piping or b) had it lying against their radiator (which as we know expels heat and having your intake piping next to it is a not so good thing). Best bet is to get one of the 5 short rams for an automatic Lancer: AEM, Injen, RRM, RMR, Buschur (only one dyno proven to).

indeed...if you have an auto go with the short ram air intakes...dont throw your money down the drain by trying to bend the piping...thats why you spent all the money in the first place is for the flush universal diameter of the CAI...dinging it up and bending it will look nasty and defeat the purpose of payin all the extra loot for the CAI.
