It's been fighting me actually, the k1 rods hit on a oil galley in number 4 so I had to grind the block to make clearance.

Are the K1 rods not specifically for the 4g94 then? Are those the lightweight H-Beam rods?

Yea, custom made by venolia pistons out of California. I sent them my old piston with a few changes I wanted done. Flat top, .020 over that sort of thing. They set me up with total seal piston rings, and new pins. The total was about $490, $110 per plus the rings and shipping. It's much better than the price of weiseco or what RRM have to offer.

wow, that is way cheaper. It's weird that those rods are like that though, but it's a good thing to keep in mind. How are you planning on tackling the ECU/sensors and such?

I see your in Salem, im from Eugene or. Garage 808 here in Eugene does awesome work, and also there's English racing down in camas Washington. English will flash my ecu using the EVO map. 500$ for flash when using under like 650cc injectors. I'm running wrx 440 injectors, having gotten to flash it yet but hoping soon.

Sounds like it's coming along pretty well then! I've heard good things about garage 808, but don't get down to Eugene very often so I've never gone to check it out. Hopefully in the next few days the parts will come in for a wheel bearing job I'll be dong so that I can finally get some tires and drive on the highway again. Once that happens though I should be good to go. So question for you since you're from the PNW; Is there much of a community for the base lancers down there?? I've never even seen another up here at any meets lol

For sure. That's pretty much all there is up here too. Ever go to RDM up on the east side in Portland?
