evo x and lancer block

Hi

I wanted to ask, my block cracked and my connecting rods broke. I’m getting upgraded connecting rods.

I got all the parts but wanted to ask, is the block on a normal lancer the same as the block on a Evo x??

It would be a lot of help if you could answer me that question, just wanted to confirm the block itself is it the same or no…

Thank you.

It's not. Lancer is a 4B12. Evo X's/Ralliart are 4B11T.

The downfall of the 4b12 is that it's a stroked motor with a separate counterbalance system in the bottom end of motor. This creates added rotating mass and parts needed to increase the performance.
