the piggyback is supposed to save gas, as well. as long as you just drive normal. it kinda leans the fuel curve out.

So let me get this straight... buy a Piggyback ECU and spend more on Premium gasolines for a little more power for my car and to save a little gas, maybe, but drive my car slower and less harder than I do now without the ECU totally contridicting the reason for buying the ECU in the first place.

Sounds good

dude, no. no matter what mods you have, if you drive it hard youre gonna get worse gas mileage. with the piggyback, it doesnt change anything under normal driving. once you get on it is when it kicks in. its not meant to save gas, and its more than a little power. 10%-15% is a decent amount of power. and theres really no reason for any mod to make huge differences under normal driving, its when you open it up when you would want the power.

^ well put, the gains are more per dollar than most other mods. Also, the peak hp and torque gain is but a fraction of what you really gain. What people don't realize is the gain is even larger in the low end and high end. You get that power much quicker and it stays there much longer. If you were able to calculate it (it would be an advanced exponential equasion) I would say you gain an average of at least 20% power throughout the RPM band.

According to my dyno which had only an intake and a reflash, the torque gain was more than the horsepower gain. And the one automatic I rode in, I could feel the difference.
