RRM Throttle Body

Finally got it yesterday, couldn't wait, installed it, and wow all I can say is wow. Before I was never thouroughly impressed with the header or cai, but now with the tb on too, it really brings out the power in the other mods. The acceleration now is way different, lots more power. Again this is just my opinion, but the tb is a sound investment, RRM, you guys rock!

It takes me about 1hr to install the TB. Can't see it really taking more than 1.5 for the less mechanically inclined.

Took me about 45 mins total. Looks difficult, but super easy.

Dont know about the intake manifold, looks pretty tough though, not going to spend any more money on performance for the car, maybe the piggy, that's it, got a bike couple weeks ago, that's got all the speed I need.

from what i see, the intake manifold is a ***** to change out, but the gains are real nice. i personally wouldnt change the IM unless im changing out pistons and rods, do it all at once.

I agree, and it's also pointless to change pistons and such unless you're doing FI.

Intake manifold takes me about 3 hours to install. It is tricky and takes patients. I wouldn't worry about internals unless your trying to boost double digits. For 9psi and below stock is fine and plenty safe. The Int. Man. does help alot for both FI and NA.

From what I was hearing, the intake manifold compliments the throttle body.

Moving to engine tech

I am guessing the TB alone would do about 3 whp on a lightly modded lancer, the mani alone would probably do about the same or a little more, and combine they would do at least 6. It's kind of the last step after doing all your other bolt-ons, like exhaust, header, maybe high flow cat. I assume even higher gains on turbo Lancers.
