Hi performace Fan Upgrade kit
I don't get how claims of top speed are made with respect to whether one has the stock or other kind of electric fan setup on their rig. Above about 40mph, fans mean squat in terms of cooling, if allowed to run at that point you're just wasting hp from the electrical load of the fans on the alternator.
Some of the flex a lite twin line products consume even more juice than stock. There was a conversion kit for my 4Runner that I think was around 20 amps. Considering that the dinky Hitachi alternator was only rated for 80, it's a big chunk.
