No money, what to do!

K my deal is i'm 16, I have a 2003 O.Z love it to bits, i don't plan on getting a turbo in it, and know that the car is underpowered pretty much. So what i want is a few extra hp gains and a good sounding exhaust for under $600 CAD... I can get a 3" magnaflow muffler without the full system for like $190 CAD, and an AEM intake for like 300 some... so i'm wondering if that would be my best bet without voiding the warranty... Please i need some help with this, and also other options to try out.

Thanks
-Matt

you really are going to get minimal minimal gains with those mods. if you are looking for power than jsut save your money since you dont have much of it bc you cant get any real gains without dropping a few k. if sound is important to you then get the cai and a magnaflow exhaust bc they will sound good.

ecu/header/intake/exhaust/throttle body/intake manifold. pretty much all n/t guys can do

I suggest decking out the suspension. I think you will notice a significant difference with a kbar/swaybar w/perches/rear strut bar/lowering springs/sticky tires.

listen to that. many ppl can have jsut as much fun taking the corners fast as going fast in a straight line.

thanks guys, see the thing is i might end up moving in 3 years anyways and need to sell the car... so i don't really wanna void the warranty either, i'd be willing to put in a couple thousand but the question is for what really... i mean i'll be beating a couple civics and other odd cars around, theres much faster cars in the city so i'm not much competition at all, so for just some minor improvements i guess i'll go with the AEM coa and magnaflow muffler... um the smallest i can get over here is a 3" tip is that like everywhere else? cause i don't even want that big of a tip... and will it sounds like a fart can exhaust?

you guys recommend the injen? my friend did some research and found better gains from the injen rather than the AEM, also the weather in edmonton is pretty **** weird flooding rain and snow all the time... bad idea? or is there a way to protect it?
