First i would just like to say after about a month of searching threads comparing RMR vs RRM vs Injen vs EBAY; i purchased an RMR intake for 168.00 shipped. It was a very simple bolt on, except for removing the MAS from the stock airbox. I have noticed resonable gains in the 3500-4000 rpm range and the sound is awesome, i have not gotten in mpg numbers yet. Also, after 2 hours of driving the **** out of the car, the metal cap on the air filter was still cool to the touch, so maybe there is something to having a heat shield.

My question is whenever i turn the ignition off i hear a loud wooshing noise coming from the intake. I assume that it is just a final sucking of air from the intake, or something comperable. Is this normal, or is there something wrong with the install?

yeah, i got the same intake, id be even louder if it was a cold-air intake, but yeah, dont worry bout it
