Yours broke differently than mine. Run a search and you'll see the other (bigger) thread on probems with Injen CAI's.

It's not a double post, just wanted you to see the other problems. They'll probably get merged at some point anyway.

this is why i never trust CAI's

I heard AEM has been having some issues as of late aswell. Once a company gets popular they just start taking shortcuts.....

I think it was just lack of foresite and endurance testing. The metal probably fatigues under extreme and rapid temp changes with lots of vibration. **** happens. So long as they do something to fix it I don't mind. I still haven't even contacted them.

I think Phattroc just got a bad intake to tell you the truth, but obviously I can't say for sure. A company with a good rep like Injen wouldn't just mass produce poorly welded and flimsy intakes if the planned on keeping their products out there. I still think vibration is the major issue coupled with the added stress of extreme temp changes.

It is official Ingen has A LOT of problems. I would just avoid them and not take chances.

All you do is praise RRM anyway. They're a great company and I'm sure everyone appreciates what they've done for us, but they're not the end all. Granted the Injen has issues, but depending upon how Injen handles these problems it may be a non-issue. Who knows, there could be a change of materials or redesign in Injen's future. For the time being (again) I'd just put a bushing under the mount to ease the effects of vibration on both the forked mount, the weld, and the piping by extension. I think Injen has a good enough rep overall to make this right.
