Can you have a cold air intake on a automatic, I talked to this guy at Propulshun and he said you can, but im not sure. anyone have a cold air on there auto, if so reply to this thread.

 

What's up man! You can have the CAI on an automatic, but you will need to relocate the battery to the trunk because the Automatic Transmission Bellhouse is in the way of where it would go, so if you move the batter then that clears up the space for the intake to go down to the front bumper! I thought about doing it, but I did not want to have to add that task of moving my battery. I just got the Injen SRI ordered and I figured that I would keep the stock intake scoop on the front so that I would still get air coming in through that and make a custom hole in the heat shield. The reason for that being that when I get my EVO VII TechSport Kit, the scoop on the right side of the hood will directly feed air from outside into the intake. Basically the same was the RMR intake works, but I had just heard better things about injen. What you get is ultimately up to you though! If you need anything else hit me up dude! PEACE!!!!!

 

thanks for replyin, that sucks that you have to take the battery out to put in the cai, I wonder if they could make a cai thats custom so it goes around the battery.

 

no you dont...if u check the threads i have done it without moving the trunk so dont go by what 1 person says... all u gotta do is search ill even find it brb ill post u it.Everythin is possible

thats tight, lot of work id imagine, im just gonna ask the guy if they could custom make a intake for my car, and how much it will cost.
