help with my FPR
help with my FPR
Okay, i just got my head back last week which is port and polished and has new valve springs, a stage 2 cam, and an adjustable cam gear-set at middle for now- and i need help on adjusting the fpr and the cam gear. Any suggestions would be great. I also have a piggy back ecu, bored IM, CAI, and a full exhaust. My car idles at 600 rpm. Prob? i dont know
cam gear should either be set to stock or whatever is recommended by the manufacturer. if it's RPW, i'm sure they have a base setting value as i know that the stage 1 cam had a recommended value. as for the fpr, just set it to 38 psi at idle with the engine warmed up. that's the stock setting. nothing you have really asks for any drastic settings.
also before driving it hard get it on a dyno or put in a wideband to see where the AF's are. The piggyback trims out the fuel on the stock setup thus with a bigger lift cam and better duration you're probably going to be running really lean with the Piggy back. Definately find out for sure before you torch a piston!
I've found the best results are between 2-4 degrees advanced on the NA cam.
Where did you get the lightened crank pulley?? Did you notice a difference and is it an underdrive style??
