exhaust gaskets

when anyone put on headers did you replace the gaskets aswell

I haven't done it myself but it seems everytime it comes up its recommended. Do a search and you might find a more thorough response.

I guess it wouldnt hurt. $20 for the header gasket and collector gasket will save you a whole lot of heart ache in the long run.

i changed the headers on my old civic so many time and not once did i replace the gaskets, and i never had leaks.

Replace the gasket. would you rather do it right the first time or have to take it off again and then put the gasket in.

I didn't replace the header gasket either and two years later, not a single leak.
