Is there a way that we can identify RRM parts (badging, serial #, etc.) so we can watch out for them on ebay? This totally sucks and I would love to help out - I'm trolling around on ebay all day looking for stuff so I could easily add my eyes to a good cause.

Thanks for all the kind words guys...

Remember it is business as usual... delays may be a few days on most parts as they'll be coming from our supplier then going out. Tires, ecu's, etc are usually stocked off site. They took the tires for the cars we had in the shop not tires we sell to customers. Thus if you want things just call in and RRM will give you the status/shipping dates. The biggest thing we can do now is pretend it didn't happen and continue business as usual with slight delays in shipping since RRM is not trying to stock items yet. It is a simple buy as we go right now but we get our parts within a day so that should only mean a two day delay in shipping on most items.

Keeping the eyes out is easier than you'd think... remember these were all new items that are specific for the lancer. Report any and all things like this that come up.

The robbery was well organized and it was a hit on more than one place in the same set of suites. We think they just stumbled on the motha load when they poped into ours(litterally). This was done by multiple men in a very fast and timely nature. Nothing that could drag them down or slow them down was taken. They were smart in some respects. The insurance companies are on top of things now as well as the police. Lets just hope things work out for the better.

ebay, local swap meets, other forums.....its gonna be hard to move that stuff without some people in the lancer community hearing about it. most likely they (thieves) don't know they are lancer specific parts and they might to try and pass it off as honda or whatever just to be rid of stolen property and make $$.

Boe-has this been posted on any other forums?

it's been said, but i want to reiterate... as well-intentioned as the police may be, they're certainly understaffed, and don't have the researching resources (read: TIME) that we have. i feel like we can be a BIG help if we really do what's been suggested here on this thread: just keep an eye out for suspicious goods being sold at swap meets, ebay, etc. if this were MY shop, i would feel a lot better knowing that the lancer community had its eyes open, rather than just the police.

i, personally, and i think a lot of us on here, feel we owe RRM a LOT, due to their unwavering respect and support for our vehicles. i really feel like this is our chance to show them some gratitude by putting in some effort for them while they're in a tight spot. let's keep our eyes open.

RacinMylancer,
I agree.

Everyone,
Keep an eye out for parts, too, not just whole kits. Unless they're complete idiots they'll probably try to piece some of the stuff out that could be used on other cars (turbos, I/C, etc.) to make it less obvious.

I'd like to keep the posting on other forums to a minimum... this forum covers the biggest lot of lancer owners... i'll leave it at that so as not to give to big of a clue to any thieves that may be reading these posts. Just keep your eye out for the products. While i want to make things unsellable for them i'd prefer that they sell and get caught even more. That being said lets keep this thread the only thread out there... but lets keep the eyes open everywhere.

Locals that know the shop and the area keep your eyes out for the truck and Gabriels vehicles... finding them could lead us to finding the theives faster. I'm not saying search for them but if you have nothing better to do a little search and reckon never hurts... just report any findings to RRM/the Local police.

Thanks for the support guys. I asked Boe to post cause I was so busy putting it together at the shop. They got into the motorsports shop only. Not RRE or Service shop. Cops found another truck that was stolen from our neighbors so we went out last night looking where they dumped it. Cop are on it but...... we lost a lot of uninsured stuff unfortunately. We are fully operational and by end of the week should have our inventory mostly back. Please continue business. We expect one or two delay on most thing now. All customer info is secure on a remote server and actually they left the most important tower behind. It is a blown V- 8 in a Pinto looking tower case! I really apreciate the support. We need it. Gabe and I feel Throwing our cookies still and at least we now we have support. keep and eye out for Lancer stuff and T-28 turbos. These guys stole stuff they had no idea what it was for so they will prolly not have any luck dumping it on a Honda shop. I will keep you posted.

DUDE that's not a RRM turbo kit... look at the turbo and the IC pipes.....

sounds good. i'll keep an eye out in the green sheet, recyler and other local publications. Hopefully it will turn up soon if they try to sell.

damn guys, ive been dedicated to you for a long time now. im in ny but i wil be keeping an eye out. the shop i got my stuff done at got robbed a lot and they finally installed a camera system (something you should think about). but truth be told, you assume they dont knwo what they really got but the only way to organize something like this is to know the area and in particular YOUR SHOP. these guys were obviously inteliigent in some aspects so i don't expect to see this stuff pop up real soon. post on here, the evo boards and the other paces you were big. if you find the guys, screw the cops, ill have 10 cars of people with semi autos waiting for em.
