I'm sure someone's done it, but I can't figure out how to remove the dead pedal in my Lancer. Someone may even have posted about it, but I can't find anything, so to anyone who's stripped the rug interior or otherwise found a need to remove the dead pedal, can you describe it to me?

I need to lift the carpet up under the driver's side a bit and can't get under that section.

just take a flat head screw driver and pop off the little cover. theres a bolt holding it down under it.

 

That's all there is to it? I coudn't figure out how to get that cover off - it seems to be made to be screwed in and out, but I couldn't get it to do anything but spin... figured I was missing something obvious.
