intake manifold OR throttle body
================

intake mani will grant you top end power. DSM-ers do this aiming for power in the upper rpm.

TB = again, it's on the tailend of the midband to top end.
Look at the SR20DET guys jumping from stock to those 90 - 100 mm TB from a Q45. Are they aiming for lowend power. Do you know how big 100mm? 3.9 inches, almost 4 inches. This thing is bigger than my 3.5 inch GM MAF.

For lowend power = header, depending on design.

Half a second gain through the 1/4 mile from just an ECU flash? From a non-EVO model? With no forced induction?

I'd say go with the throttle body, at least thats what my plan is. Figured with the increased throttle response it'll make the car feel like it has more torque or rather I'll actually be able to sense the torque already there, rather than feel the lag I have right now.

Get a bored fuel rail from Boe and a RRM flywheel. You will notice that in the low end more than anything.

Magic!

I installed the borred FR boe sent me and to be honest theres not much power, maybe a little, but more smoothness because of the increased amount of fuel behind the injectors, any hesitation is almost gone. But it really helps the smoothness top end when your wanting more fuel. but adding low end power? not really. But im also N/A with no cam/head/fuel(cept for the rail)/ecu mods. Turbo/beter N/A guys will prolly get something more! damn u!

Couldnt he play with the final drive ratio to add more low end?

Why do you want MORE low end? I can't keep from spinning my Azenis' on a dry launch (all the way to the rev limiter) and am even considering adding timing in the pre-3500K RPM range just so I'm not losing grip down there. Plus these cars pretty much sail into the 3500 range and then bog all the way to the top....

what have you done already..... and why do I smell header and test pipe before you upgraded your intake even a little....

I have Injen CAI and Greddy Exhaust and some suspension work. I have BFG KDW(really sticky tires) and they have trouble spinning cause there soo damn sticky.

I jus feel my car needs more torque.
