$1,400 is what I paid. Crower was very easy to deal with once I got an import tech on the phone, and the rods were about $725 with a 6 week wait. I think the only real problem is getting rods that are off the shelf rather than custom made. Pistons are pretty easy to obtain, and RRM's price is pretty good considering they usually seem to have them in stock (at least 1 or 2 sets). I hope it all goes well, Steve. Are you still down in PR or are you back in WI now?

I'd be interested in buying a heatshield and anything else you guys come out with that helps us lancer owners out!

My brother was down in PR, I'm still up in WI though.... I'm looking at getting CP pistons with Total Seal rings... Probably Oliver rods... it's the setup I'll have in my Mazda within the next few months. Nobody has been able to pop the setup yet! (and some have certainly given it an unintentional effort). But I should make 400 hp or better.... but will run around 300ish usually.... What the Lancer can achieve that way I don't know... but I'll provide it as an option if I can!

The heatshields we have made to date have typicall been asthetic but they do a great job of protecting the hood from the radiant heat off the header. I can see what we can do as far as a more useful shield past that... but keep in mind the more bends and shapes we add the worse the cost gets.

How much for just pistons? I know RRM's price is good, but if I can find cheaper...

600 or less most likely... that's with rings and wrist pins etc... top of the line race quality rings

I don't have a source... so I'm estimating right now.. I'd have to get a lot of info together to try and do that for you! But I could certainly do it!

ohh you guys have turbo manifolds that's compatible with the RRM setup? however that would mean that you'd have to make the downpipe aswell.. maybe with a heatshield to? I/C piping? definately interested in that O2 simulator.. ohhh can you guys make a better type rock guard for the radiators, the stock ones really really really suck..

We aren't likely to get that heavy in for a good while... probably a year or so as that gets SUPER expensive....

the O2 we will be doing and the rock guard we can likely figure out in some way...

Alrighty guys.. I have pistons for you (See didn't take long!)

CP Pistons, any compression you want, also can do overbores. Includes wrist pins, and their import rings which are supposed to be pretty good... and All told, shipped to you anywhere in the U.S. Would be 670. Lead time is the downer... it is about 4 weeks.

I'm going to work on rods for you guys... I'll keep you updated.

Later!

Steve

I have already filled out the form and am still waiting to hear back from you guys. I will not conduct any sales of any sort with anyone of the Lancer community until I hear back from you, but I am currently providing information for anyone who is interested. But again, I will be refusing all sales until the appropriate actions are taken to be a legitimate vendor on this forum. I am still waiting to hear back at this point.

Thanks,

Steve
