Stalling in U-turns

When ever I'm turning around slowly in first gear to make a sharp U turn my car almost stalls. It only really started after I installed my catback and I was wondering if anyone else had this problem?

I forgot to add that sometimes it happens from a dead stop like at a light. It's almost like I'm stalling out the car but it happens with normal everyday shifting. It's not like I'm launching the car into first or driving like a newbie. I've been driving a manual for seven years now.

That certainly doesn't sound normal. I'd take it to a dealer, it sounds like a problem that's easy to demonstrate to them.

Althouht I do recall someone mentioning that warranty voiding is often a case-by-case decision made by the dealer, I think the rule goes: if the mod causes the damage, then yeah, they won't cover that damage under the warranty. They'd want definitive evidence that mod A -> damage B.

SRI and catback don't take more than an hour to replace if even that long.
I would just take it to the dealer with them on however.

It's not so bad that it's causing the car to stall completly. I just wanted to know if anyone else was having this problem.

Hey try putting your stock equipment back on , see if it still happens. Process of elimination. Give it a shot before going to the dealer and taking a chance on VOID.

Ok, I'll own up to being an idiot now.

Yesterday I decided to check my exhaust and intake, as they are the only two mods I have on my engine right now. I really didn't want to exchage them for the stock cause I'm not sure where all the parts to my stock intake are.

So, I check the exhaust to see if I have a leak and it was fine no leaks on any of the connections... then I pop the old hood and I see that my intake is caked and needs a cleaning. I mean really dirty. So I tookabout an hour to clean it and about another hour to let it air dry. I applied the oil and all that jazz. Long story short, I started the car and did a U turn from where I was sitting and it was cool. The car feels stronger in the 3000-3500 rpm range... I can't believe how sluggish it was prior to cleaning. Also on my drive to school today it seemed fine. Better then fine acutally. I think all the craploa in the mesh was restricting air flow considerably. I also think that is why my car was bogging out at low speeds.

I've had the SRI on for almost a year now and this is the first time I've cleaned it. I was told that I wouldn't have to clean for 50,000 miles. But I'm going to clean it every time I change my oil now, just to be on the safe side. Yeah I know I'm stupid. But I'm just glad it was something dumb like that and not something major.
